Her Stepmom Is the Boss
Phone-tested by Ralph H. · Oct 30, 2026
A girlfriend's connections land a man a new job, and his boss turns out to be her stylish stepmother. She runs the whole floor, and she has plans of her own for him. On Candy.ai, the first two of five episodes are free, and the paid three cost 12 tokens each.
A job on the stepmother's floor
The setup is workplace-first: a job, a boss and a family connection. A man gets hired because his girlfriend pulls a few strings, and he starts under her stepmother. She is stylish and in charge of the entire floor, which makes her both his boss and his girlfriend's relative. According to the official premise, she has other plans for him beyond the job description.
Episode 1 plays free without an account, so the first scene is yours to judge. This page sticks to the premise and recounts nothing from the episodes. If the mix of office hierarchy and family ties sounds right, that opener is a free way to find out.
A 36-token office story next to a 384-token marathon
Paid episodes cost 12 tokens each, and episodes 3 to 5 are the paid ones, so you spend 36 tokens in total. The card I checked on 2026-10-30 showed this. Premium's 100 tokens would cover that bill twice and leave 28 to spare.
My bestie betrayed me sits at the other extreme. It has 34 episodes at the same 12-token rate, and 32 of them are paid, so the total reaches 384 tokens. That is more than ten times this series. Pick the five-episode one if you want to finish in a sitting.
Who should apply for this job
Choose it if you enjoy office settings where status and family loyalty collide. The stepmother is both a boss and a relative, so the premise puts two kinds of pressure on its lead. Five episodes are short enough to keep the story from sprawling. If workplace plots are not your thing, give it a pass.
Begin with episode 1 on Candy.ai, then take episode 2 with a free account. Episode 3 is where the 36 tokens start, so make your decision there. Treat the free pair as a probation period, with no notice needed if you walk away.
