NightWire
Phone-tested by Ralph H. · Oct 30, 2026
A woman who moves stolen memories for a living dives into a stranger's most private night. Then he says a name she has never told anyone. On Candy.ai, NightWire's first episode needs no account and its second needs a free one. After that, the last three episodes cost 12 tokens each.
A memory courier, a stranger's night and a name
The heroine moves memories illegally, carrying them from one mind to another. On one job she relives the most personal night of a stranger's life. He somehow knows a name she has kept secret. The Fantasy tag fits a premise about stolen recollections. Episodes 1 to 5 are not described on this page. If a memory-heist hook is your thing, episode 1 on Candy.ai costs nothing.
A 34-episode neighbor and a 36-token finish
NightWire adds up to 36 tokens: a free first episode, a free-account second, and three at 12 tokens each. Candy.ai listed it that way on 2026-10-30, when I opened the card to count.
My bestie betrayed me has 34 episodes at the same 12-token price, leaving 32 to pay for. Its total is 384 tokens, which is 348 above NightWire's 36. A long run and a short one can sit in the same tier, with very different bills.
Where a memory heist fits in your queue
It suits you if you prefer speculative premises to domestic ones, since the blurb involves a memory trade. Five episodes keep the commitment light, and the first two cost nothing but a free account. Start with episode 1 on Candy.ai, then keep 36 tokens ready for the last three.

Questions
Is NightWire free?
NightWire is partly free on Candy.ai: episode 1 plays with no account, and episode 2 needs a free one. Episodes 3 to 5 cost 12 tokens each, which makes 36 tokens as of 2026-10-30.
How many episodes does NightWire have?
The Candy.ai card lists five episodes as of 2026-10-30, two free and three paid at 12 tokens each. My bestie betrayed me, at the same price, has 34. The page works from the premise alone, so no episode is retold.
Does NightWire have Japanese subtitles?
No, NightWire stops at six: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. The Witch Who Made Me King, another Fantasy-tagged series, lists seven and adds Japanese. Both lists were read on Candy.ai on 2026-10-30, and either may change.
